Ayres Center for Spiritual Development, 770 St Marys Ln, Sewanee, TN 37375, USA

About The Event

Sister Elizabeth, CSM will lead the meditations by sharing stories from the Bible and from the Sisters’ history that speak to Christians living in the 21st century. The retreat begins with Evening Prayer on June 9th, followed by a picnic. Check in time is 3 pm. On Friday and Saturday, there will be  meditations, the Daily Offices, nutritious meals and free time.

The Community’s gift shop expanded during the pandemic; come and browse. The Community’s library was culled during the pandemic; come and read. The Sisters and the Ayres Center continue to care for their holy grounds; come and explore. Rest, renew, reconnect!

Saturday’s Eucharist will be a memorial service, remembering Sisters, Associates, and Oblates who have died since our last “onsite” retreat in 2019.  The retreat ends with Sunday Eucharist, followed by breakfast.
