After a period of closure due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic,
our guest accommodations are reopening with safety precautions in place.
In this limited capacity, we invite those (who have not tested positive for COVID-19 &/or are non-symptomatic) wishing to make a personal retreat or have a quiet place for study and writing - looking for a quiet, beautiful and reflective environment to plan a stay on our convent grounds. The guest spaces offer visitors a cheerful and restful atmosphere and a space for solitude, prayer, and reflection.
At this time, guests are not allowed into the chapel for worship services nor into the main convent/cloister for interaction with the sisters.
Guests should be prepared to have their temperature tested upon arrival.
Guests should be prepared to wear cloth face coverings (in accordance with Sewanee ordinance) over their nose and mouth when in public or inside buildings other than private residences.
At this time, visitors to Sewanee are not allowed on the University campus - per the Vice Chancellor/Mayor - though they are free to visit & support local vendors.
