About The Event

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

Daily we are bombarded by an overwhelming amount of media, and we find ourselves in a time of unprecedented access to information, opinions, and data - from politics to the pandemic; how do we determine what is true and beneficial when so much misinformation and disinformation exists? How might we change our relationship with the media we consume and our presence on social media?

In this 2-part workshop, Amanda will explore current trends in misinformation and best practices for how to understand, filter, and engage with various information. Then, Casey will discuss how to practice social media with intention using the model of the well-known Serenity Prayer as a guide. Finally, there will be some time for questions and answers from participants.
